Come for as little or as long as you can! We need all of the help we can get!

Fun ideas, and "Time" to start them.

We had a fun night at our "In 2009, it's All About Time" enrichment night!
Thank you so much to those amazing sisters that brought such yummy desserts! Thank you to the sisters that helped provide the nursery! Thank you to the Young Women that were in the nursery helping the little ones! What a great sister-hood that we have to help in so many things!
Thank you so much to the sisters that presented us with great ideas!
Scripture Study Time:
We learned that it is important to read to your children the scriptures (actual scriptures) because the spirit speaks through the words to us! Some fun ideas to help our children and ourselves enjoy scripture study time: a fun chart to mark when you have read a chapter (if you want copies, please let us know), read while your children are eating breakfast, use a head lamp (one that goes around your head) at night to read in your bed, be an example, and set a goal to read it. It might take you a few years to read it from start to finish, but that is OK and you will have met your goal! Thanks Sister Jean!
Organizing and Cleaning:
For traveling and eating on the road, you can use a plastic storage container to put the fast food in for yourself and for your little ones. That way if the sauce tips over, it is OK because you can wash out the plastic bin. Have a plastic container with art supplies for each of your children, it will help with the "I am bored" problem. Store all of your baking supplies or your Peanut butter sandwich supplies all in one plastic bin. It makes it easier to pull out the items and then you put them away in one step. Use an over the door shoe hanger to store mittens, goggles, snow hats, game pieces etc. Many uses for those containers. A coupon binder with plastic sheet protectors: store your weekly coupons in and wait until the items you want go on sale by checking this website....is http://www.grocerysmarts.com/. I will get it and put it right here.... Store all of your cards (birthday, thank you, wedding, etc.) in one spot with dividers so you can quickly write a card! Use your calendar as a journal... write all of the things you do during the month down and then you can scrapbook your month with pictures and stories by looking back at your calendar. Create a birthday calendar with family and friends birthdays. A cleaning index card system to help you with your daily, weekly and annual jobs. With the hand outs for the night, I forgot to explain how to use them. The Daily quick clean: this chart shows you to write down the order you are going to quickly clean your house every morning. NOT DEEP CLEANING! Start in your kitchen, move to your entry way and then so on. If you get in the habit of cleaning your kitchen right after breakfast, anyone could drop in and you would feel like your house was clean. A clean kitchen motivates you to cook the next meal! With the My weekly schedule: you fill in the blanks, there was a sample of what to do each day: Example: Sunday: Planning Day (plan the week) Monday: Catch up day Tuesday: Errand Day Wednesday: Appointment Day (Dr, V.T., help in classroom) Thursday: Cleaning Day Friday: Paperwork Day Saturday: Family Day . You can change the days on which you want to do those, but it is a basic idea of how to organize your time which will help you have an clean house and extra time to play! I will put links on the right column if you want some of the information mentioned that night. A great LDS book to help teach your kids to clean/work and also understand money is The Parenting Breakthrough,by Merrillee Browne Boyack!
Menu Planning:
We all need this!!! Take a basic calendar and choose what you will serve every day: So you will need 28 dishes total. 4 Crock pot, 4 Mexican, 4 Italian 4 Casserole 4 Chicken 4 Meat 4 Easy. Choose what 2 side dishes you will serve with each one. You will repeat this monthly! For example: Sunday will could always be a crock pot meal Monday: Mexican Tuesday: Italian Wednesday: Casserole Thursday: Chicken Friday: Meat Saturday: Easy. Such a great idea!! Thanks Beth!
Four Good Things To Do For Yourself:
Every day, try to do four simple things: Something for your Mind, Body, Spirit and for the Lord. It can be anything simple or something planned out. Joyce has a wonderful chart for you track what you do during the year! A few examples: Mind: Read a book, Body: Drink more water, Spirit: Say your Prayers, For the Lord: Visit Teach. The sky is the limit! Thanks Lisa!

Also, if you signed up to make Valentines card, contact Beth if you would like to make it still! They were adorable!!

Thank you to all who attended and showed your support! We missed those unable to attend!
Remember, "In 2009, it's all about time" Choose one thing that you can work on to use your time wisely and you will be blessed!
XOXOXO
